On the occasion of the anniversary of the Holodomor in Ukraine, the Novatorfilm studio has opened for one week (23.11.25–30.11.25) public access to the film “Surname in the Pocket” by director Stepan Koval.
This film reminds us of the tragic events in Ukraine in 1932–1933, when, as a result of the Soviet government’s barbaric policies towards Ukrainians, almost one-third of the country’s population perished.
The events are presented through a deeply moving personal story supported by documentary evidence. This film became my first and very valuable experience working as an artist in the field of animation. The film will be available for online viewing for one week at the following link:
